I know it's been proved by canon that Masky probably isn't Slenderman's proxy but, whatever, AUs make anything possible.

I view Slenderman and Masky's relationship much like a God and his subject, with the subject loving the God to the point of obsession and the God having genuine love for the subject and caring for him.
